Research Focus
Our research is dedicated to unraveling the complex transcriptional regulatory networks that orchestrate the critical transition from retinal proliferation to differentiation and the subsequent determination of specialized cell fates. These processes are fundamental to healthy retinal development, and their disruption is a key driver of various ocular diseases. A central focus of our work lies in elucidating how chromatin architecture shapes and regulates gene expression in the retina, a topic of long-standing and pivotal interest. To advance this understanding, we leverage a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach that integrates classical molecular, cellular, and genetic methodologies with cutting-edge technologies for mapping genome topology, positioning our efforts at the forefront of retinal biology and disease research.
