The Wolf Prize in Medicine	2026 Proctor Medal and Lecture

The Wolf Prize is an international award presented to scientists and artists for outstanding achievements in the interest of mankind. Dr. Sahel is the first Pitt faculty member and the first ophthalmologist to receive this award.	Dr. Sahel delivered the Proctor Lecture at the 2026 ARVO Annual Meeting and was awarded this prestigious honor to recognize his outstanding research and significant contributions in the field of ophthalmology.
