The Optometry and Contact Lens Service delivers an extensive continuum of eye care, ranging from routine vision assessments to subspecialty care. The Division is comprised of highly trained optometrists and dedicated clinical support staff, collaborating to provide patient-centered, evidence-based care across subspecialties. Our physicians specialize in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, provide neuro-optometric evaluations and care, have a systemic approach to the treatment of dry eye, and see patients of all ages with various levels of vision impairment to help address their needs.

In addition to lenses that correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, we specialize in difficult-to-fit patients with:
- high astigmatism
- dry eye
- presbyopia
- keratoconus
- LASIK-induced keratectasia
- corneal transplants
- corneal scars
- artificial corneas
- trauma
We provide scleral lens services for patients with severe ocular surface disease stemming from conditions such as Sjogren’s syndrome, graft versus host disease, neurotrophic keratitis, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, or chemical injury to the eye. Prosthetic lenses used for traumatic injuries or congenital abnormalities are also available.
All fittings include insertion and removal training, personalized recommendations for lens disinfection systems, wearing schedules, and follow-up care. According to federal law, contact lens prescriptions expire in one year.
Our multidisciplinary Optometry team offers a broad spectrum of clinical expertise.
