John Swogger, DO

John Swogger, DO, provides medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts. As the Director of Information Services (Electronic Medical Record), Dr. Swogger oversees the integration of electronic medical records, streamlining clinical workflows, and supporting data-driven decision-making to advance patient care. He is currently overseeing the integration of electronic medical records during the UPMC Bridges Project. He is certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Swogger serves mainly in a clinical role on the glaucoma service, providing medical and surgical care for glaucoma and cataracts for patients. He is also involved in fellow and resident clinical and surgical education.
