Dr. Andersen is a native of Utah. He attended Brigham Young University and then Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He collaborated on novel retinal imaging research projects involving Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Ophthalmoscopy (FLIO) at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City. He recently finished his residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he completed research projects on donor cornea storage temperature and pediatric corneal transplant outcomes. His hobbies include family time, enjoying the outdoors (especially hiking), trying new restaurants and watching movies.
