A Conversation With Dr. Depew

Emily DePew, OD is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Following undergraduate at the University of Scranton, she completed her degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 2017. She then went on to pursue further training as a resident in Ocular Disease at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Dr. DePew currently holds a position as Clinical Assistant Professor at the UPMC Eye Center, where she provides primary care and contact lens services and further works in association with the Neuro-Ophthalmology Division and UPMC Concussion Program. She serves as the Director for the Optometry Externship program and is also involved in the resident training program. Dr. DePew was nationally ranked in Newsweek among the top 50 America's Best Eye Doctors in 2021, and she was the recipient of the UPMC Excellence in Patient Experience Award in 2020.
